Jyothi Venkatesh– How was…and How is your Bonding with Anupam Kher, Because not many films he has done with you?
Suneel Darshan– You know with “Anupam Ji” , Anupam Kher ( Actor) … I remember watching his movie before the world did…. his first movie “Saaransh” . It was 1984 and I remember Mahesh Bhatt who was my Mother’s younger brother. He Directed Saaransh and actually took me too their Little studio in their office. He invited me to come and watch Saaransh. I told this man in Fathers Role look Brilliant… What’s his name.
On this Mahesh told , He is just 33 years old” , Suneel Darshan continues “…..And he was Brilliant”
Further when I was casting for Lootere, We needed to cast for villian and as usual “Amrish Puri” was first choice who was doing major roles in that era. I thought let’s cast someone DIFFERENT BUT NO LESS, and casted Anupam Kher As villian in opposite to Sunny Deol, and he played Brilliantly.
Suneel Darshan further continues, “I always wanted to work with Anupam Kher and cast , But there should be a specific role. Anupam ji needs a important significant role in movie and can’t be casted in just any role
