As we look towards 2018 – really we can count the number of Hits given on toes; Isnt it? Well we may look as take a small analysis on HITLIST.
Talking about the first Hit of 2018 in January- Padmavat which proved to be Blockbuster due to huge hyped Controversy and High ticket rates. Then Coming to February with a clean message film PADMAN was Hit due to lovely message and Tax Free tickets so everyone can watch.
March had a lovely RAID first ,and then gave sweet HICHKI which again was Superhit with Tax free (Low Ticket Rates) . April had something to offer from October which we can say an average one and Small films like Sonu ki Titu ki Sweety played the magic. Then there was nothing until a super Melodrama 102 NOT OUT in month of May which had emotional message between Son and Dad and Grandson on how they easily forget. May also had a sweet message from Parmanu which topped the Box office and again made in limited budget.
As Coming to first half of 2018 with a few ones that topped the charts is really sad – Can say “ As it takes a hard pain to make a movie then why cant work on story before executing”
Month of June had the First Blockbuster SANJU which broke all previous records of highest Rajkumar Hirani films only. As SANJU was biggest Blockbuster so it had to balance so July had hardly anything to deliver except a fresh flavour from DHADAK which had fresh Introduction followed by VEERE DI WEDDING
August saw with eye catcher movie MULK which had a huge message for the society. Also Mulk was made in a very limited budget ; shot on one location in one schedule. Then two Big Films of August GOLD (which was a bit high budget) had verdict AVERAGE and SATYAMEVAJAYATE (Which was made again in limited budget ) had verdict SUPERHIT. Both movies collected 100 cr.
All about September can say as it taught us lovely SUI DHAAGA attached to the Indian roots. Sui Dhaaga was again made at no cost as most of location were YRF STUDIOS only.
October had really something good with LoveRatri which became Hit due to its Festive songs and huge publicity in festivals catching the Gujarati crowd. Followed by something which had real content to offer with ANDHADHUN which became a big BADHAI HO at Box Office. Small budgeted films which almost shot on one locations are turning to be Huge profits. Or we can say Ayushmaan Khuraana Brand who gave us lovely Dum laga ke Haisha.
Followed by November had really nothing till now as one the biggest films was released with 7000 screens worldwide and a solo release.
So we may recall Major loosing films which were made in High budget and earned nothing are RACE 3 and now THUGS OF HINDUSTAAN . Both movies had huge Star value but lack of content. And not naming the Flops as there are many…..
Hardly know about the next and final month of 2018 December as doubt again on Kedaarnath and Zero ; if these movies really have a content. Little Bit excited on SIMBHA as it has Comedy jorner and might work ; as releasing on Christmas eve which is a Holiday until new year.
A film is made with lots of Hard work and passion and of coarse a lots of Money involved. As we have seen above; movies which made in minimal budget has huge CONTENT involved. And vice versa which have STAR VALUE lacks of Content. What is reason for this ? Guess for the same reason in 2013 RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT was shut due to delivering 13 Flops in a year.
Also HIT movies to deliver are KAPOORS (Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor) who are always known for giving huge Content followed by Akshay Kumar; Ajay Devgn ,John Abraham ; Ranveer Singh ; Ayushmaan Khuraana which cant be missed ,Varun Dhawan who too just known for content. In Actress can say the Queen Rani Mukherjee and cant think of someone apart Deepika Padukarne.
Also great content from AAMIR KHAN was missing in 2018, Action packed movies which are loved for SUNNY DEOL were totally missed. No Hrithik Roshan , Himesh Reshammiyan movies in 2018 which atleast have somehing to say….
Are good writers like Priyanka Raina and many more not pitching on Top list ; who have studied Cinema. Well to see a surprise coming in year 2019 which gonna be happening with most of the content.
