“Raat Akeli Hai” basically story revolves around one “Wedding” of a 60 year old Raghubir Singh (Khalid Tyabji) getting married to 30 year old girl RADHA (Radhika Apte) with presence of all Family members. Also SSP (Tigmanshu Dhulia) and Police Officer Jatin Yadav (Nawazuddin Siddique) are present.
Since Jatin’s Mother forces him to get marry when ever comes to a wedding, so Jatin leaves early from wedding. Jatin gets surprised when he gets a call after Two Hours “Murder in the Wedding”. And the whole investigation process begins with loops and bounds hunting for the murderer and a strong reason behind it.
Characterization : Nawazuddin Siddique justifies role as a police officer , investigating process in which suspense is maintained till end.
Direction : When ever we see a horror story or Investigation happening after Murder with lots of evidences , Its obvious that screenplay has to be tight and Director Honey Trehan keeps an impact of maintaining the suspense throughout with lots of evidence with a powerful ending.
